Caring and Community

Caregiving is a special and honoring position in our lives. Families are called on to care for an older loved one as we are living longer, outside care costs are rising and we are in an era where many are choosing to keep their loved ones at home; oftentimes while they are raising children or have others in the home also needing care.

Sharpening Our Skills:

Katy offers monthly Sharpening our Skills activities specific to care and resources available to families and individuals caring for others. Caregivers maybe family, friends or an outside person going into homes or communities to offer support.

Equipping:

• in-person class
• online training
• partnership with other specialists in the field of caregiving.
